Up until several years ago I believed I had a good relationship with God. I grew up catholic and went to catholic schools for grade school, high school and college. I thought I knew what it meant to have a relationship with God.  Little did I know, I hardly had any relationship with my Heavenly Father at all.

Several years ago, I started seeking validation from different sources such as work and attention from other females. After things came to a head with my marriage I was introduced to Will Van Tassel, my mentor. Will introduced me to a book called Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. That book hit me like a ton of bricks. There are so many truths in that book that hit home with me and helped me realize I had absolutely no Idea what it meant to have a relationship with my Heavenly Father.

In reading the book I realized I was attempting to get validation from places that could never fulfill the validation I was seeking. At that point, I came to one of the biggest moments of my life, I realized validation can only come from the heavenly father through a healthy relationship with him. Wild at Heart opened my heart and mind to what it really means to be a Man as God intended me to be.

Now I truly do have a relationship with my Heavenly Father and I strive to continuously build that relationship to be stronger and stronger. That strong relationship with my Heavenly Father has led me to a happy, abundant and fulfilling life. My relationship with my wife and my daughters is better and stronger than it has ever been.

The book Wild at Heart and the Relational Christianity teachings I have learned with my band of brothers has truly changed my life. I am excited to continue to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father and see the wonderful and abundant life it will lead me to.
